Whats New? - December 2023
It's nearly the end of the year, but even so we managed to sneak in a few additions to everybody's favorite reporting app.
Let's take a look!
New Premium Reports
Based on the feedback from our customers, we're always in the process of developing new custom reports.
This month, we've made a few more premium reports available to help you run your storefront:
- Sales by Day of the Week (Retail) - This report groups your sales by Day of the Week, so you can see which days generate the most revenue and plan accordingly.
- Sales by Hour of the Day (Retail) - This report groups your sales by Hour o the Day, so you can see which hours are busiest and plan accordingly.
- Sales by Attributed Staff (Retail) - A report for breaking down your sales by the staff member who handled the sale (vs. Sales by Staff, which displays the staff member who was logged in and processed the transaction). This report is often vital for tracking POS sales commissions properly. **
- Duplicate SKUs (Products) - A useful report for cleaning up your products, this report will filter to show only variants that have duplicated SKUs so you can fix them in Shopify accordingly.
**Shopify doesn't provide us the staff names, only the ID numbers. However, if you
provide us with a list of which IDs correspond to which names, we'd be happy to create a custom
Calculated Field that maps them for you.
These reports require a paid plan of Report Toaster. If you aren't signed up, follow these steps
here to upgrade your account.
New Fields
Thanks to a small update we pushed last month, there are a couple of new data points we can make available in the app
- Variant URL: Much like Product URL (which we added last month), this links you directly to the published variant on your webstore.
- Confirmation Number: This number is the order confirmation number that customers see after checkout.
- P.O. Number: The purchase order number associated when somebody chooses Purchase Order (PO) as a payment method.
