Whats New? - July 2026

This month, we're going over a couple of new additions that should help you save time and money in Report Toaster.

Alerts

As part of our Scheduled Reports feature, Alerts are a great way to setup internal notifications that can make you instantly aware of issues in your store. All you have to do is:

  1. Save a custom report displaying something crucial (e.g. low stock items, products missing costs, etc).
  2. Use scheduled reports to notify the right person at a suitable frequency.
Thanks to the 'Skip Empty' option, you can ensure that the schedule only fires when there's something to display, ensuring that vital information isn't lost among a flood of emails.

Idea
For example, I saved a report to My Reports of all my out-of-stock items in the Bestsellers Collection.

I then schedule it to go out every 6 hours to my warehouse manager. Thanks to Skip Empty, the report will not send unless there actually are any out-of-stock bestseller items.

This feature is fantastic for increasing the automation and efficiency of your storefront.

You don't have to remember to manually check dozens of reports for crucial information - just set up scheduled reports to notify you when something crucial happens, and you'll always be kept up to date!

Daily Lost Sales

This report shows you fast-selling items over the last 90 days that are currently out of stock.

Using this report, you can quickly see your daily lost sales - i.e. how much am I losing every day that I don't restock these items!

Now not all restocks are something merchants can even control, which means that this report is best when it's customized to suit your particular storefront.

Idea
For example, perhaps you want to exclude limited edition items, those that are no longer available, or only items in a certain type/collection?

But let's say for example that we save a report for Sales Velocity.

This shows any items that have less than 30 days of available inventory (based on past sales):

Alert
We could even setup an Alert for this so that I get notified and can restock items long before they run out of stock.

Once you get a handle on your restocks, then in an ideal world, Daily Lost Sales should read $0.

That's some immediate savings right there - and unsurprisingly, more than enough to cover the cost of a Report Toaster subscription.
