Premium Report - Month-end Inventory Snapshot

Premium Report - Month-end Inventory Snapshot

Month-end Inventory Snapshot

Included as part of our Inventory History suite, this report is designed to replicate the Shopify report and give you a point-in-time snapshot of your historical inventory.

Info
Inventory History needs to be enabled by our Report Toaster staff. Please contact us to support@cloudlab.com so we can set these reports up for your account

As a Premium Report, this is available on all Paid Plans of Report Toaster. If you aren't signed up, follow these steps to upgrade your account.

This report lets you see the total stock and cost-based value for your entire inventory at the end of the prior month:

Alert
Please note - Inventory History is only tracked from the time this feature is enabled for your account.
For example, if we enabled the feature for you on 6/20/23, you would have Inventory history from this date onwards.
WarningThe report will error if you select an end date before we enabled Inventory History for your store.
E.g. if you set the report to the end of Last Month, but Inventory History was  onlyenabled after this date, then you will get an error. Adjust the date range accordingly to resolve.

Here are a few terms to be familiar with to understand the Month-end Inventory Snapshot report, numbered in the screenshots (above):

1.) Tracked, equal to, true (FILTER): This filter ensures that only products you have enabled inventory tracking for show up in the report. Best to leave this alone.

2.) Available (end): The number of units at the end of the time period. This is determined by the last date in the selected range.
Idea
For example, if the report was set to 1 month ago end and today is 9/26/25, then Available (End) would be the # of units available on 7/31/25.
If I looked at the same report in August, it would be the amount available on 6/30/25.

3.) Total cost (end): The total cost at the end of the time period.
This is determined by the cost of the item (Cost) multiplied by the number of Available units.
Idea
For example, if the Avocado Ahoy has a Cost to me as the merchant of 8.50 and there are 398 units in stock, then Total cost (end) would be $3,383.00

Like all Report Toaster reports, these reports are fully customizable - so you can adjust the date range, add/remove columns, introduce a filter, or change the sort to suit your individual needs.
