Whats New? - June 2024

Summer is here, and this month we're back to showcase a number of great new additions to Report Toaster :)

Let's take a look!

Stock Intake & Sales Velocity

Included as part of our existing Inventory History feature, this report is essential for merchants who are looking to get a better handle on the stock and sales of their inventory:

Using this report, you can see how much you started or ended the period with, measure how much you sold and stocked of a particular item, and plan your future restocks based on how long your current available stocks will last.

See our main guide here for further details.

Days in Transit

A vital addition to the existing Shipping Status report, we've introduced a column that tracks how long a package has been in transit.

Note - this field relies on the tracking company populating the Fulfillment / In Transit date in Shopify. Many (but not all) carriers worldwide update this information in Shopify when the order is shipped.

Using this field, you can see how long it's been since a package has shipped before it's been delivered.

This can be great for sorting or filtering on custom reports (e.g. find orders where Days in Transit is greater than a certain threshold so you can investigate and follow up with the carrier accordingly).

% of Total

As part of our Calculated Fields feature, we've now developed the ability to create custom columns that can display the percentage of total for metrics in a report.

For example, if you look at Gross Sales on our Sales reports, you can see this displays the amount per row.

But now we've also included the Gross Sales (% total) so you can see the percentage of the total that this row represents:

E.g. the Gross Sales of the Supreme Swan in the last 30 days was 176,314.00, or 33.15% of my $531,862 total.

This Gross Sales (% total) column has been included on most of our default Sales reports.

But if you're on a paid plan of Report Toaster and would like us to create other custom % total fields for your account (e.g. % totals for Net Sales, Quantity, etc) then let us know and we'd be happy to do so.

Otherwise, if you have any questions about these additions or would like help setting something up for your account, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].

Until next time!
