Whats New? - March 2024

This month, it's time for a bit of "Spring Cleaning", and what better way to do that than with our new Product Cleanup Report!

Let's take a look!

Product Cleanup

This report is vital for merchants who are adding new products, making changes, or simply trying to keep their inventory up-to-date.

Using this report, you can quickly see which products are missing vital pieces of information (see the Filter for a list of issues, and you can easily remove the ones you don't need).

Currently these are the Product Issues we are tracking (but we may add others in the future):

1. Missing Compare at Price - This is an issue because you won't be able to accurately measure Markdown vs Full Price sales and see which of your Variants are most discounted.
2. Missing Cost - This is an issue because you won't be able to accurately measure Profit and this can directly hurt your bottom line.
3. Missing Description - Most customers want at least a short description to provide details of what they're buying!
4. Missing Barcode - Whether this is a Barcode, UPC or ISBN, these are often crucial to track and organize your inventory.
5. Missing SKU - Again, the Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) is usually used in tracking and organizing inventory. You may also want to check out our Duplicate SKUs report as well.
6. Missing Product Type - Typically this is useful to organize your products into unique categories, so if the values are blank those items won't be included in Sales by Product Type report.
7. Missing Weight - Doesn't matter for digital goods, but often vitally important for physical goods in the warehouse and especially for Shipping.

Finally, to make life easier, we've even made it possible to click on the Product's Title so you can navigate directly to the corresponding Product in your Shopify store.

From there, you can scroll down to navigate to any of the applicable Variants and make the necessary adjustments.
